COVID-19 – Looking after the members in your community

In light of the COVID-19 situation currently unfolding, DLR PPN would like to ask member groups to keep in mind those people within their organisations that might find themselves with little or no assistance in terms of delivering groceries or medicine, especially the elderly, or in case members find themselves isolated.

For this purpose, could each organisation consider the steps to be taken to safely assist someone who might find themselves isolated or without any assistance, such as, for example, establishing and distributing a number of contacts available to safely assist within the organisation?

As the CoronaVirus seems to be a particular threat to older people, we would like to remind our members that SeniorLine has put in place a number of protocols to support many older callers from all over Ireland in terms of information. SeniorLine is a FREEPHONE service and older callers can call free between 10am and 10pm every day of the year on 1800804591. More information here.
