WHO WE ARE
GROW offers hope of recovery, a roadmap to mental health and personal growth, a way through personal “roadblocks”, the encouragement and support of others and an opportunity to share your story with others. This being said GROW offers and promotes “Social Inclusion” to the last.
On a local level, while the weekly meetings and 12 step programme is the eminent part of GROW, members become lifelong friends and share wonderful times together. GROW members from the Eastern Region; Dublin, Kildare and Wicklow recently came together to share such a moment. Over twenty GROWers managed to find themselves space at the picnic bench in The People’s Park, Dun Laoghaire on 21st July this summer. Sharing a picnic, playing the guitar and singing a few tunes was followed by a stroll along the pier.
GROW members work together to create and publish an Eastern Region Newsletter each season of the year, giving an opportunity for members to summit short stories, pictures, poems or personal testimonies. Once printed these newsletters are not only distributed to all the groups in the east region but also posted to all the other regions in the country.
If you are struggling with any aspect of mental health from depression to stress, anxiety, loneliness or isolation why not come along and learn more about positive mental health, wellbeing, recovery and how GROW may help you achieve this. Meetings are free of charge and confidential.
