This Privacy Statement is issued by Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown Public Participation Network, The Old Post Office, 7 Rock Hill, Main Street, Blackrock, Co. Dublin (“DLR PPN” or “we”).
The purpose of this notice is to inform you of the data relating to you that we may collect and use:
a) through our website, dlrppn.ie
b) in connection with membership of DLR PPN,
and the uses we may make of such data.
a) The following information relates to all visitors to our website dlrppn.ie:
Personal Data:
Personal Data is only collected when our website users leave comments, i.e. Name, Email address and Website, if applicable. This personal data is stored on our website server operated by a website hosting company compliant with the General Data Protection Regulations. DLR PPN takes all reasonable measures to ensure this data remains secure.
Non-personal data:
Our website gathers anonymous statistics on the people that use the website, for example what pages they visit and what country they are in. We do not collect IP addresses.
Cookies:
We may store some information on your computer in the form of a “cookie”. A cookie will permit us to maintain our service to match your needs, interests and preferences. You have a right to refuse to accept cookies.

Our remit:
Under the provisions of the Local Government (Reform) Act 2014 Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown Public Participation Network (DLR PPN) is the official link between the Local Authority and Community & Voluntary, Social Inclusion and Environmental groups within Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown. The remit of DLR PPN is to ensure that member groups have a voice in Local Authority decision-making, to build the capacity of DLR PPN member groups and to act as a hub for DLR PPN members to network, share and receive relevant information.
What we use your information for:
DLR PPN will use the information your group or organisation provides during registration to send you information about DLR PPN events, activities and training, information from Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council that is relevant to DLR PPN members, information about local and national consultations and any other information we deem legitimate to carrying out our remit.
What types of data do we collect?
DLR PPN is a Controller of the personal data you, as a member of DLR PPN provide us when you register with DLR PPN. We collect the following types of personal data from you:
- Name, Address, Telephone Number, Email.
- We retain records of your queries and correspondence in the event you contact us e.g. by email or phone.
- We retain records of DLR PPN events that you attend.
- We retain records of information submitted to our surveys.
- If you are a PPN representative on a committee we retain a record of the committee meetings you attend.
- When we take photos or videos at events we maintain a record of whether you consented to the use of your image.
If you provide us with contact information for alternate contacts for your group or organisation, you warrant that you have obtained the consent from the alternate contact for the disclosure and use of their personal data as described above.
Your information is held under the legitimate interest section of the General Data Protection Regulations (Article 6.1.f). because it is necessary to carry out the remit of DLR PPN.
Where do we store this information?
We store your data on our Salesforce database. Salesforce is a third-party Customer Relationship Management system which complies with the General Data Protection Regulations. When you complete the DLR PPN registration form on our website this data goes straight to Salesforce – it is not stored on our website server. DLR PPN will take all reasonable measures to ensure the data held on Salesforce remains secure. Membership applications we receive by post and email are inputted manually into Salesforce, and saved electronically in accordance with our data protection policy.
We sometimes use third party online services to manage DLR PPN event registrations. We will ensure that any third party service we use is GDPR compliant and that we will take all reasonable measures to ensure the data held on these third party services remains secure. We will delete any data held from an online registration process within one month of the event taking place.
How long will we store this information?
We will keep your information on record for up to four years, unless you specifically request it’s removal.
Your rights in relation to your personal data:
You have the right to ask us for a copy of your personal data, make amendments to your personal data or delete your personal data at any time.
