Proposed Development: Blackrock DART to Park Active Travel Scheme at Blackrock

Part 8 public consultation has commenced for the ‘Proposed Development: Blackrock DART to Park Active Travel Scheme at Blackrock, Co. Dublin’.

The proposed works include:-

  • 130m length of two-way cycle track, footpath and associated grass verges between Bath Place (Blackrock DART station) and Blackrock Park
  • Prefabricated bridge over the Priory Stream to replace the existing narrow pedestrian bridge
  • Boundary wall to scheme to replicate style of existing boundary wall
  • Sustainable urban drainage system
  • Public lighting system
  • Entrance pillars to Blackrock Park
  • Closing off of existing laneway by extension of existing wall
  • Removal of two sections of existing boundary wall to facilitate the route
  • Landscaping and ancillary works (including but not limited to the removal for future relocation of the existing folly)

The proposed route passes within the grounds of Deepwell House (protected structure, RPS No. 110).

Plans and particulars of the proposals are available for inspection from Friday 28th June 2024 up to and including Thursday 25th July 2024 during normal working hours Monday to Friday excluding Bank Holidays at:

  • Planning Department, County Hall, Marine Road, Dún Laoghaire, between the hours 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.
  • Council Offices, Dundrum Office Park, Dundrum, between the hours 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and 1.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m.
  • on ‘DLR Consultation Hub’ Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council – Citizen Space or via the Council’s website homepage www.dlrcoco.ie.

Last date for submissions or observations is 5pm on Friday 9th August, 2024.
