The fifth Music In Monkstown Chamber Music Festival will be held over the weekend of 7th – 9th September next. It started as a glimpse of an idea by our Founder and Artistic Director, John Finucane – to bring the very best of music of international quality to our charming village. We schedule a concert each evening and a matinee event on the Saturday and Sunday afternoons.

World-class performers have included John O’Conor, John Finucane, Celine Byrne, Philip Martin and Michael McHale and the Navarra, Vanbrugh and Contempo String Quartets,

Classical Kids have entertained the very young and the late night Jazz Concerts in the nearby pub is another string to our bow!

Also in mid-May we will have a one-off event, again in the Parish Church.

Music in Monkstown presents The Irish Baroque Orchestra, directed by Monica Huggett in Vivaldi’s World.
