Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council intends to reapply for planning permission in early 2023 to proceed with the addition of an active recreation zone and accessibility improvements in Shanganagh Park.
This work is part of Phase 1 of the 2019 Masterplan for Shanganagh Park and Cemetery complex which aims to improve outdoor amenities for all Shankill residents; balancing active and passive recreation in the park while enhancing biodiversity.
The upgrades to the park will provide much needed facilities for the growing number of diverse sports clubs in the area, and will future-proof the park as Shankill and the surrounding areas continue to welcome new residents in the coming years. More information here
