Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council provides a wide range of Grants to community groups to assist with actions and projects being undertaken in their local area. These grants are intended to sustain community activity and active citizenship.
The DLR Grant Scheme provides financial assistance to individuals, groups and organisations engaged in projects events or developments for the community and business organisations at local or county level within Dún Laoghaire- Rathdown County. Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council aims to ensure that the limited financial resources available are used to the maximum benefit of the DLR community at large and support in achieving the Council’s goals and objectives.
Some of the grants available for Community Groups are the Start Up Grant if you are a new group, Running Costs Grant, Purchase of Equipment Minor and Purchase of Equipment Major (only available once every three years). Grants awarded will only be paid upon the submission of receipts, with the exception of the Start Up Grant and Insurance costs, upon receipt of quotes.
Please note that sports clubs applying for a grant must do so using the Sports Grant application form, UNLESS they are applying for the upgrade of a community facility, in which case they should complete the Community Grant application form.
