On Monday 11th February, the Council will publish its draft Climate Change Action Plan for public consultation. It will set out how the Council will improve energy efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions in its own buildings and operations, whilst making Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown a more climate-resilient location, with engaged and informed citizens.
The Plan will demonstrate our desire to exceed local government targets through on-going and planned actions in five key areas: Energy and Buildings, Transport, Flood Resilience, Nature-based Solutions and Resource Management.
Once adopted, the Plan will have a five year life, during which its actions will be continuously monitored and evaluated and will be used to inform future initiatives as we work towards becoming a low-cabon society.
Public consultation events will be held at
- Holy Cross Community Hall, Dundrum on Wednesday 13th February (3-7pm)
- The Maritime Museum on Thursday 21st February (3-7pm)
