The Government’s consultation on the National Planning Framework:Ireland 2040 ran between February and March this year. It was a consultation on what the overall strategy should be for how Ireland develops as a country over the next 20 years, where housing, jobs, schools, leisure facilities, transport and other infrastructure will be located and where resources will be focused.
The four Dublin PPNs, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown, Fingal, South Dublin County and Dublin City decided to work together on a joint submission that would reflect the views of PPN members across Dublin. This was done by creating a survey that was shared with members of all 4 PPNs. Over 90 submissions were received and the general themes from these were worked into the submission below.
