Dun Laoghaire Rathdown Draft Road Traffic Special Speed Limit Bye Laws 2024

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 9 of the Road Traffic Act, 2004 (No. 44 of 2004), as amended, hereby gives notice of its intention to make Special Speed Limit Bye-Laws in respect of national, regional and local roads within the administrative area of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown, following a review of speed limits in accordance with the “Guidelines for Setting and Managing Speed Limits in Ireland”, issued by the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport (March 2015).

The Draft Speed Limit Bye-Laws, together with associated maps are available for inspection below or at Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council Offices during normal office hours 9.00am to 5.00pm from Friday, 8th of December, until Friday, 19th of January inclusive, at the following locations:

  • County Hall, Marine Road, Dún Laoghaire, Co Dublin.
  • Dundrum Area Office, Dundrum Office Park, Main Street, Dundrum,      Dublin 14.

Any person may submit observations, comments or objections to the Draft Bye-Laws from the date of the publication of this notice until the closing date detailed below and any submissions or objections received shall be considered by the Council.

Submissions, observations or objections with respect to the Draft Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown Road Traffic Special Speed Limit Bye-Laws 2024 can be made through the online survey below or in writing to the Senior Engineer, Traffic & Road Safety Section, Infrastructure Climate Change Department, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, County Hall, Marine Road, Dún Laoghaire, Co. Dublin, marked “Draft Special Speed Limit Bye-Laws 2024” to or by e-mail to [email protected]

The latest date for receipt of objections or submissions regarding this matter is 12:00 noon on Friday 19th January 2024.
