The Environment and Climate Action Grant supports residents’ associations, tidy district and tidy town groups who work to enhance and improve their local public areas.

• Applicants are invited from residents’ associations, tidy towns or tidy district groups.
• The maximum grant available per group under the 2024 scheme is €800.
• Applications are invited for any of the following projects; (a) purchase of plants or trees for public areas, (b) purchase of estate name stones, (c) hosting of local environmental talks, climate action workshops or local environmental campaigns, (d) purchase of minor non-mechanised equipment to assist with a planting project (e.g. shovel, trowel, gloves etc) and (e) a combination of the above.
