Peter Burke, the Minister of State for European affairs has congratulated a number of groups who have been allocated funding to mark 50 years since Ireland joined the European Communities (now the European Union). Under the 2023 Communicating Europe Initiative Scheme, 34 local community groups, youth organisations, educational institutes, NGOs and local media organisations have been awarded funding.
