First of all, the DLR PPN Secretariat and staff would like to congratulate the winners and all who were nominated for the dlr Community and Volunteer Awards 2024. This year’s event saw 61 community groups and 54 volunteers formally acknowledged and celebrated for their positive contributions to community life across the County. We would like to acknowledge everyone nominated for the amazing work in the DLR community and say ‘Thank you!’ for all your hard work. A brief summary about the Awards can be read here.
Dublin City University – PPN Summer School (27th May – 30th May)
We are delighted to announce that registration for the PPN Summer School – a free training opportunity with Dublin City University, in collaboration with all Dublin PPNs, is now open – details below. dlr Festival of Inclusion
Over 70 Events Planned to Promote Social Inclusion at dlr Festival of Inclusion 2024 will take place from the 15th to the 26th of May. This year’s theme, “Building Friendships in the Community”, highlights the importance of fostering connections and supporting community well-being. The festival is a community based social inclusion events programme organised by numerous community groups and organisations bringing people together to celebrate community well-being, raise awareness, provide supports and promote friendship, equality, diversity, integration, and social inclusion across dlr. Building Connections with DLR PPN (15th May, 7pm to 9pm)
You are warmly invited to the Building Connections with DLR Public Participation Network event on Wednesday 15th May 2024, 19:00 – 21:00, in the Talbot Hotel Stillorgan, Stillorgan Road, as part of the Festival of Inclusion. Hot finger food, dessert and tea and coffee will be served throughout the evening. Promotional Poster for member groups during Building Connections with DLR PPN
All member groups are invited to promote their activities. We will create an A4 poster – similar to the one attached – for each group who fills in the information in the form below. All posters will be displayed around the room in their respective electoral area. The posters will then be uploaded unto our website. This is a wonderful opportunity to raise awareness about your group and how members of the community can get in touch and join.
