A Public Participation event is taking place on Thursday 22nd June from 2:30pm to 8pm to show the options for the Dodder (Phase 3) Flood Relief Scheme.Options for Flood Relief Scheme along the Dodder from Clonskeagh Bridge to Orwell Road (Waldron’s) bridge are being looked at. Although the scheme is led by Dublin City Council, the south side of the river and a number of the flood relief measures are on the Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown side of the river. It also includes a measure on the Little Dargle in the park at the corner of Braemor Road and Woodside Drive.
This live event will take place in the Dropping Well pub on Thursday 22nd June from 2:30pm to 8pm The purpose is to show these options to members of the public. The design team will be available to discuss the Scheme. This event will be of particular interest to anybody affected or potentially affected by flooding in the catchment of the Dodder. It is an opportunity for the public to ask questions about the proposed works, discuss concerns or provide relevant information they may have about flooding in the area to the team. Afterwards when the feedback is processed, the final options will be confirmed. There will be a second Public Consultation on the final preferred options later on in the year so there will be plenty of time for feedback.
Information on the preferred option will be uploaded to the scheme website once the event is complete for those unable to attend. The website address is www.floodinfo.ie/frs/en/dodder-phase-3/home/
