The Department of Justice and Equality has initiated an online consultation process for the development of the first ever Strategy for the criminal justice system.
We are conscious of the need to hear the voices of local communities and let the public have their say on how the criminal justice agencies can work better together to meet the needs of system users and the community. If you have not yet circulated details to your member group, I would kindly ask you again to consider doing so. Places for each planned event are being booked up quickly. I would again encourage any interested member of your local community to please register before it is too late.

We would like to see attendance from a cross-section of society, and would encourage you to share details of these events with representatives of minority groups and new communities, where possible.
For those unable to participate in these online forums, or who would prefer an alternative method of inputting into this consultation, an online survey and an invitation to provide written submissions will be launched on the Department’s website shortly and notification of that launch will also be shared with you.
