Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown (DLR) County Council is delighted to host the DLR Festival of Inclusion this autumn. The annual DLR Festival of Inclusion aims to highlight and celebrate social inclusion initiatives and to support and encourage all to actively participate and engage in the community.
DLR Festival of Inclusion is a community-based social inclusion events programme that promotes the many groups, organisations and volunteers organising activities and events and offering supports in the community.
‘Promoting Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown’ is the overall festival theme this year and the council would be delighted if your group would like to organise an event or promote your activities as part of the DLR Festival of Inclusion 2022. DLR Festival of Inclusion events should involve groups / organisations bringing people together to connect, engage and celebrate community well-being and raise awareness and promote social inclusion and diversity. Events can be in-person, on line, via the production and promotion of a video etc.
This year the festival will begin from Thursday 29th September and will have events running throughout October 2022.
You are invited to send in details of your proposed events or initiatives to be held as part of the DLR Festival of Inclusion 2022 by Wednesday 14th September 2022 (see the application form here). If appropriate, these events/initiatives will be included and promoted on printed material and online through the various County Council communication channels to run from the end of September and throughout October 2022 in the Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown area.
You are also requested to attach a brief description of your group as well as contact details to the application form as the council would like to develop a DLR Festival of Inclusion Directory for Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown.
DLR Festival of Inclusion has a small events fund for voluntary community & social inclusion groups to organise events during the festival. Please contact Siobhán if you wish to avail of this small fund.
