This year, in association with Sandyford House and other businesses, SVI supported the first Village Festival over the June Bank Holiday.
On the Saturday, all the businesses were out in force providing entertainment for free for all children and families. Activities included six bouncy castles and games in the car park of Sandyford House; face painting outside Ground Cafe; mini games and hair braiding outside The Sitting Room; slush puppies from Mulvey’s Pharmacy, popcorn and candyfloss outside Baxters and wine tasting outside Nectar Wine shop. All of the businesses provided support for this event. Sandyford House also hosted a BBQ in the new beer garden which kept the adults happy while the children were being entertained.
On Sunday it was the day for more grown up entertainment with the band Smash Hits playing in the marquee in Sandyford House, and with the fantastic weather the beer was flowing in the new beer garden in Sandyford House. Plans are already in place for next year’s event!
